Nikon's "IX-Nikkor" lenses were produced from 1996 to 2000. They use the same Nikon F mount, but the rear element protrudes considerably closer to the film/sensor. This means that this lens, although using Nikon F mount, cannot be adapted to any SLR. It can be adapted to any mirrorless cameras, but the problem is that the rear protrusion has a diameter that prevents the lens from totally mounting to the adapter. To fix this, I had to file off some parts around the flange. This Nikon IX-Nikkor 60-180mm lens had some fungus on the elements and also needed some cleaning.
