A Helios lens in Nikon F mount. It still has the (in)famous swirly bokeh that made the original Helios 44's popular. |
Helios was a brand of lens made for Russian Zenit 35mm film cameras and uses M42 mount. A British company called TOE (Technical and Optical Equipment, Ltd.) sold those Zenit cameras in the UK and Netherlands. Focal lengths that not made by the Russian Helios (eg. 28/2.8 and 135/2.8) were contracted to makers in Japan and Korea under the name Helios, to fill the gap.
